Day of the Dead Celebration Luncheon - Invitation

The Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and in some parts of Central America. This celebration takes place on October 31 and November 1 and 2. The Day of the Dead is a time to honor those who had passed away.

The celebration varies from place to place, but in general people visit the cemetery to clean and decorate the graves with marigold flowers and candles. People also prepare the favorite food of the deceased and set "altars" with offerings: food, drinks, sweets (and toys for the children) in their house. In some places, people take their offerings to the cementery. This is not a scary event, but a time when people celebrate their loved ones who had passed away.

In honor of this tradition, Spanish Club will be hosting a luncheon next week. We will be ordering authentic Mexican food, set the offering and share it. If you are interested in participating you will need to pay 3KD to cover food cost. We are considering to have this luncheon on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday, if you would like to join us post a comment to let me know which day is better for you.

PS Sapnish 1-A1, due to some technical difficulties we will do the blog video activity next week.
