The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha, by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, is the greatest literary work ever written in the Spanish language. It narrates the adventures of Don Alonso Quixano, a man who after reading so many books about knights decides to become one and to go out and fight against injustice. Don Quixote has served as inspiration for many works of art. Also, there are several theatrical adaptations and movies based on this novel, the most famous one is probably Man of la Mancha, this videoclip comes from it, enjoy it!

Wonderful show of the movie, it truly is a great piece of art. In our country, the gretest book written in our language is "The Good Soldier Svejk". It is about a czech soldier that fought in the World War I, and his life. I have not read it, but both of my parents have, and they liked it alot.

ResponderBorrarI don't know any famous novels, but I know a very good book. It's called A Prayer For Owen Meaney by John Irving. I just started it and I love it! It's a story about a boy named Owen Meaney. There is something very special about him but I don't know what that special thing is yet. The story is told from the perspective of Owen's best friend, Johnny Wheelwright. It is very entertaining and chilling at the same time.

Chico podeo ser bueno chico. Y se ve mal. Pienso que el chico trato a mentira la chica. Y pienso que chica querio ayudar por el porque el fue en serio.

It is one the famous book in korean and got the first prize in best sold books. It is so popular that artists made play out of this book. I also read it and touched by her writing.

What a touching and interesting clip! Seems like a great movie and an even better book. I actually don't know what the MOST famous literary work in English would be, and I'm completely out of touch with Arabic literature. However, a very famous piece in English Literature (even if it's not THE most famous) is Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. The tragedy tells the story of teenagers who fall in love with each other, despite their feuding families, and eventually die for that cause. I read the play in both 7th and 9th grade and enjoyed it a lot.

I have read Don Quijote in korean and it was really good. "ground" is one of the famous novels in our language. It's about a noble woman who is trying to take back her own lands from the japanese government. I have read it but it was too long so i can't remember all the details. However, the topic of novel was the importance of being an independent country.

ResponderBorrarI think we should watch the movie of Man of La Mancha in class. It would be fun and we could learn more about the story. As for Arabic Literature, I'm not aware of any famous novels but Arabs are very talented when it comes to poetry. There are many famous Arabic poets. Nizar Qabbany, Mahmoud Darwish, and Khalil Gibran are very famous Arabic poets.
I don't know if there is one piece of Arabic Literature that happens to be the most famous, if there was I havent read it yet. I tend to read Kuwaiti poetry the most since it's always circled around patriotism and a=feelings towards the country.

In my country, Japan, we have a famous book called "The Tale of Genji." The story revolves around Genj's life, and his experiences are phenomenal. I have read it when I was nine years old but never finished it, unfortunately.
WOW! That really was a pretty cool clip of the movie. It seems like a very interesting movie with a very moving story. The actors and the songs were specifically amazing.

The video was very loud in my ears with everyone singing in Opera style. The song is really repetitive. But I'm sure if I read the original story, I'll love it.
In my language, Bengali, there is a very famous novel called "Devdas". The novel is about a very influential family in India, and the life and love story of a member of that family. It's quite a tragic story. My grandmother has read the book, but I'm not sure if my parents have. I have not read it, but I have watched several adaptations of the novel in movie form.

I really enjoyed watching this video. Although i didnt get to watch the whole movie, it seems like it would be interesting. One of te most famous novels in my language is most likely "Romeo and Juliet". It is a story about two lovers from to different famales who try to be together but cant because of where they're from.

The most famous literary work in English is the Holy Bible. I am not too familiar with it, but the bible is a guide for Christians on how to live their lives, depicting many stories from the olden times, the times of the prophets. I have read one paragraph of the bible as a child. I do not recall what it was about, but I recall that when Jesus spoke, the text changed color. I'm Muslim therefore I should probably read the Quran before I start on another religion :).
I really enjoyed this clip of the movie. In my county i think a famous novel and movie would be the Titanic but i am not sure.
